Seen here in the pics is the soon-to-be-unveiled Mercedes V Class that was spotted by the good chaps at MB Passion. The upcoming MPV was spotted in a parking lot in Wertheim Village, Germany.
The upcoming Mercedes V Class will be unveiled on January 30, 2014.
The upcoming Merc has been internally named as the W447 and the soon-to-be-launched vehicle will be responsible for resurrecting the V-Class family name, which went out of business more than a decade ago. The V in the V-class denotes to the car maker’s Van family and the new V Class is looking all set to become more successful than the now defunct R Class. It is being said that Mercedes will also launch a more premium variant of the V Class that will appeal to the rich businessmen. This upscale version could be sold with the Vito moniker.
There are also good chances that the entry level variant of the upcoming Mercedes V Class will be powered by a 2.1 litre oil burner that can also be found under the hood of many Mercedes models in the MFA series. The 2.1 litre diesel engine, in all likelihood, will be available with optional AWD system. The more premium Mercedes V Class variants are likely to be sold with engines with higher power output and these motors will come attached to a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
Deliveries of the new Mercedes V Class could commence around March next year and prices for the new 2015 Mercedes V Class are likely to start at around 34,000 euros (approximately INR 28 lakhs).
