Not long back, Honda unveiled the new sixth generation City at an event in New Delhi. The new gen City has got bigger, is more loaded and has the quintessential diesel power plant. While Honda has got high hopes with the new gen City, it surely hasn’t given up on the last generation model and has launched the new Honda City Mugen Limited Edition in Philippines.
The latest limited edition model of the City comes with some Mugen accessories that work together to infuse some sportiness with the sedan. Only 20 units of the new limited edition City will be produced and the car can be bought in only one paint job- Taffeta White. Also, the latest limited edition accessory pack is available only in the 1.5 EL AT trim.
As can be seen in the images, the new Honda City Mugen Limited Edition comes with a sporty front grille, sportier front bumer, side skirts and a rear under spoiler. However, the highlight of the package has to be the gargantuan rear spoiler, which is sure to appeal to every boy racer out there.
While the new City Mugen Limited Edition looks decidedly tasty, unfortunate is the fact that it boasts of NO mechanical upgrades. The car continues to be powered by the same 1.5 litre, four cylinder, i-VTEC engine that has a max power output of 120 PS and peak torque of 14.8 kgm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission. As we said earlier, the new Limited Edition package is available in single trim only, which means it can’t be had with the 100PS 1.3 litre iVTEC-5 speed manual engine-transmission option that is available on the City in Philippines.
The new Honda City Mugen Limited Edition has been priced at Php 976,000 (approx INR 13.6 lakhs).
