Mercedes-Benz reveals 2016 Geneva International Motor Show line-up

Mercedes-Benz has announced the list of cars that it would showcase at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Mercedes-Benz is exhibiting a total of 37 vehicles on the public days.

Mercedes-Benz Cars will be presenting its Dream Car Collection at the 86th Geneva Motor Show and will be starting the 2016 open-air season by unveiling new roadster and cabriolet models. The motoring event will be the stage for the world premiere of the new C-Class Cabriolet. The upcoming C-Class Cabriolet will be a classic soft top. Further harbingers of spring include the new SL and the SLC, both celebrating their European premieres, as well as the Mercedes-AMG S 63 Cabriolet Edition 130 to commemorate the invention of the automobile 130 years ago.

The smart fortwo cabrio will become even more exclusive in the shape of the new limited-edition smart fortwo cabrio BRABUS edition. The new Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC Coupé is the latest sporty model to join the C-Class family. Also being exhibited for the first time in Europe is the new E-Class. The V-Class range is introducing the exclusive line which, Mercedes-Benz says, enables the MPV to impress with a particularly high level of equipment.

Visitors will experience the “Mercedes-Benz Dream Car Collection” in a “Silver Flow” ambience. A dynamically shaped, free-floating, large-scale sculpture consisting of silver slats creates the perfect setting for the new Mercedes models. The technically sculptural Silver Flow appears to float weightlessly above the large show stand covering 3120 square metres and combines with the central media space to form the stage area for the presentation of the numerous premieres.

The “E-Mobility” area presents an impressive range of electric vehicles including the plug-in hybrid models of the E-Class, the GLE and the GLC as well as the purely electric B-Class, while the highlight of the Mercedes-Benz hybrid initiative is a reigning world champion: the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 W06 Hybrid racing car.

The 2016 Geneva Motor Show is scheduled to commence from March 3 and will conclude on March 13, 2016.
