The year 2014 is the Year of Excellence for Mercedes-Benz India. Under this, the company has already launched to AMG SUV’s – GL63 AMG and ML63 AMG. This month, the company will be adding one more AMG machine to its India line up- CLA 45 AMG. According to reports, the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG India launch will happen by the end of this month.
Powering the CLA 45 AMG is a 2.0-litre, twin turbo 4-cylinder motor which belts out 360PS of max power and 450 Nm of peak torque. The CLA 45 AMG comes with the same 7G-DCT automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system that ensures maximum grip over any type of road surface. The car catapults from standstill to 100 kmph in a scant 4.6 seconds and keeps accelerating until it reaches its electronically limited top whack of 250 kmph. Owners can also opt for a special package at an extra price which removes the top speed limiter. The CLA45 AMG rides on 18 inch wheels shod with 235/40R18 rubber.
Visual differences between the regular variants and the CLA45 AMG include more aerodynamic front and rear bumpers and AMG sport steering wheel and gear lever. The CLA45 AMG gets three stage ESP with Curve Dynamic Assist, aerodynamic front and rear bumpers with carbon fiber trims.
According to reports, the CLA 45 AMG will be priced around INR 60-70 lakh. Dealers have commenced the bookings for the Mercedes-Benz CLA45 AMG with a payment of INR 1 lakh. Deliveries are expected to commence in August.
