It’s been a busy day for Mercedes-India today, with as many as three new model launches and one trim launch. Along with the Mercedes-AMG S 63 and S 500 Coupes, the G 63 ‘Crazy Colour’ edition has also been launched in the country; with prices starting from INR 2.17 Crore.

The Crazy Color Edition lets G 63 buyers pick one of five edition-specific paint colors which include Solar Beam, Sunset Beam, Galactic Beam, Tomato Red and Alien Green (pictured here). Obsidian Black paint on the bumpers, the wheel arches and the rain gutters add a contrasting touch to the overall appearance.

The interiors feature body-colored contrast stitching on the seats, the dashboard, the center console and the door panels. All Crazy Color Edition models come standard with black designo Nappa leather upholstery regardless of which exterior color is chosen.

No mechanical changes ensure that the Colour Crazy Edition will feature the same 5.5-litre V8, twin turbocharged engine offered in the standard G 63. Maximum power is rated at 536 bhp @ 5,500 rpm, while torque stands at 760 Nm @ 2,000-5,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 7 speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels. 0-100 kph is decimated in just 5.4 seconds.

Last, but not the least, Mercedes-Benz India has also announced Designo editions for the S-class and CLS-class. Designo allows customers to choose bespoke exterior and interior trim additions along with bespoke paint schemes for their precious S- and CLS-Class models.

The four launches are a part of the company’s ’15 in 15’ policy with outlines 15 new model launches planned during the year, along with the new GLE-class, which will be launching in India by 2015-end.
