After launching the facelifted Ertiga, Maruti Suzuki has launched the updated XL6 at ₹11.29 lakh. The XL6 is positioned as a more premium alternative to the Ertiga and it comes with 6 seats instead of 7. The facelifted XL6 gets a new grille with sweeping ‘X’ bar element, machine-finished 16-inch alloy wheels, gloss black finish on B&C pillars, fender side garnish with chrome element , LED taillamps with smoke grey lens, back door garnish with chrome insert and a spoiler. It also comes with the option of dual-tone body color in the Alpha+ trim.
The interiors of the XL6 sees the addition of telescopic steering wheel, footwell ambient lighting and front door courtesy lamps. The new XL6 borrows the 7-inch Smartplay pro infotainment system from the Baleno. It gets a voice assistant that can be activated with the ‘Hi Suzuki’ command. It gets connected car tech called Suzuki Connect which offers over 40+ features. The car can be remotely accessed through a compatible smartwatch & voice connectivity through the Suzuki Connect skill for Amazon Alexa.
Customers can remotely access & operate the AC function, door lock, headlamps OFF, hazard lights, alarm, and many other features through these devices. In terms of safety features, it comes with 4 airbags, electronic stability control, and hill-start assist standard across all variants. Other feature additions include Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, ventilated seats, 360-degree parking camera and UV and IR cut glass.
The XL6 continues to offer other features such as LED headlights, cruise control, auto headlamps, automatic climate control, a color MID, electrically foldable ORVMs, air-cooled cupholders, and AC vents for all three rows. The new XL6 comes powered by a new K-series 1.5L Dual Jet, Dual VVT with idle start/stop technology.
It produces 101hp and 136nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. Customers can also opt for a 6-speed torque converter gearbox with paddle shifters. It returns 20.97 km/l in the manual guise and 20.27 km/l when mated to the automatic gearbox.
