Suzuki Motorcycles India to launch the all new Access 125 on March 15, 2016

Following the unveil of their all new Access 125 scooter at the Auto Expo 2016, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) is all set for its launch on 15 March 2016. Suzuki has pumped up the Access 125 game with a full model change of their flagship scooter.

On the visual front, the Access 125 has received cosmetic upgrades that make it look tad modern and sophisticated than its previous version. The new lightweight frame is claimed to improve mileage, straight line stability and cornering performance. The scoot is armed with features like Suzuki Easy Start System with one-push starter, push type shuttered key, front pocket, optional DC socket and service indicator.

The all new Suzuki Access 125 draws power from a new 124cc 4 Stroke, single cylinder, air cooled SOHC 2 valve engine. The engine is arrayed with Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) tech and is claimed to provide improved fuel efficiency and powerful acceleration. The power-plant delivers 8.5 Bhp of power at 7,000rpm and a max torque of 10.2Nm at 5,000rpm; these figures are fairly high than the outgoing version.

Well the engine is not the only chunk that is new, there is more to the Access that sets it apart from the previous version. The Japanese two-wheeler maker has reworked on the design making it longer, taller and wider, while retaining the ground clearance and seat height of the current Access.  It boasts to be equipped with the longest seat and largest under-seat storage in its segment.

The new Access also gets Front disc brake and alloys wheels as an option. The front wheel is upgraded to a 12 incher and is shod with 90/90 tubeless rubber and the rear wheel-tyre config remains the same – 90/100-10 tubeless MRF rubber. The fuel tank of the new Access 125 is shaved off its size and can hold 5.6L of petrol as against the 6L capacity on the old one. With all of the new technology and mechanical upgrades the new Suzuki Access 125 tip the weighing scale at 102 kilos, 10 kilos less than the old one.

The new Access 125 will roll out in 5 colours, namely – Pearl Suzuki Deep Blue No.2, Candy Sonoma Red, Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matte Fibroin Gray and Glass Sparkle Black. At the Auto Expo, the Hayabusa maker stated that the all new Access 125 will be available in the country from April 2016 onward. The official prices of the new scooter are not yet known, but we can expect it to bear a price tag tad higher than the outgoing version.
