Maruti Suzuki has introduced a “Limited Edition” variant of the Omni van in a bid to attract prospective buyers in the entry level van segment. The Limited Edition brings in more features to the bare basic van with the inclusion of a MP3/CD player with AUX input, a set of 4 speakers, LHS ORVM and Seat Covers
It may be noted that the Omni has been soldiering on in our market since 1984 and have gone through several updates to keep the old horse going. Maruti manages to sell around 5000 units of the Omni every month and this is a respectable number for a car which is in business since almost 3 decades now.
Powering the Omni is the tried and tested F8D-3 cylinder 796cc engine with 37 Bhp-62 Nm on offer. The engine is mated to a 4 speed manual ‘box to transfer the power to rear wheels. The Omni is also being offered in LPG variants to make the van more appealing to fleet operators.
