In a world of limited and special editions, here’s one more to the list. Audi has released another special edition of the R8 for the Chinese market. The biggest visual differential factor is the Cool Nordic Gold paint said to be especially developed for this variant and won’t be offered on other R8s.
Also featuring elegant matte black trims, the R8 runs on titanium grey 19-inch alloys. Carbon fibre has been put to generous use making it onto the rear wing, side-blades , mirrors and door handles.
Step inside the the prominent feature is the “SHARK SKIN” leather knee pads, sport seats wrapped around in Alcantara and Cool Nordic Gold trim running across the cabin. To add further exclusivity, there’s an individually-numbered aluminum gear knob.
Propelling duties are managed by the familiar V10 5.2-liter burner pumping 525 bhp and 530 Nm of peak torque transmitted to the quattro all-wheel drive system via an R tronic transmission.
Restricted to only 30 units, prices start at $422,820.
