The Ertiga is the only successful MPV from Maruti Suzuki India Limited after the Versa failed to register good sales. The Ertiga offers decent space for 7 people and is also fuel efficient compared to the Toyota Innova. Maruti Suzuki felt the Ertiga is facing heat from the Honda Mobilio and hence the car maker is now readying a facelift for the model.
Here on this page, we have the first spy picture of the 2015 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift. The Ertiga facelift will be launched sometime around the mid of 2015. Currently, Maruti sells the Ertiga with petrol, diesel and CNG engine options. Powering the petrol variant is a 1.4 liter K-series engine and the diesel variant draws power from the 1.3 liter MJD mill. Transmission option was limited to a 5 speed manual gearbox, although Suzuki sells the model in Indonesia with a 4 speed automatic. This automatic transmission will be on offer on the facelifted Ertiga.
In terms of cosmetic changes, the facelifted model will feature a refreshed grille, redesigned front and rear bumper and some minor cosmetic changes on the exterior. On the inside, the MPV is likely to be kitted with an updated infotainment system and some more bells and whistles.
