Updated Maruti Suzuki Ertiga spied earlier this year
The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift is set to receive an cosmetic upgrade as the car maker is reportedly planning to unveil the updated MPV at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show scheduled in August 2015. Suzuki Indomobil Sales Deputy Managing Director Davy J. Tulian said in an interview that about 28 cars would be displayed at the 2015 edition of the Indonesia International Auto Show, including one new car.
Earlier spy images revealed a fair-bit of cosmetic upgrades that would make way on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga through this facelift. The Ertiga facelift will receive three-layered chrome grille, a new bumper with a revised air dam and newly designed wheel.
Current generation Suzuki Ertiga
The mechanical details are still unknown but the facelift is expected to receive same engine options as the outgoing model. Current model of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga comes in three engine variants – petrol, diesel and CNG. Powering the petrol variant is a 1.4-litre K-series engine while the oil burner draws power from a 1.3 liter multijet diesel motor. Both use a 5 speed manual transmission. While there is no concrete evidence, reports suggest that an AMT is also expected to be clubbed to either of the engines.
