Maruti Ertiga facelift (2)

Another day, another face-lift. For 2015, the popular Maruti Ertiga loses it pleasing face and goes under the scalpel, resulting in one of the less pleasing faces to come out this year. After a fair influx of Botox, the Maruti Ertiga facelift ends with a new chrome licked, three-layered grille, a new bumper with a revised air dam and some more chrome. That’s it. Oh, and there are newly designed wheel caps as well. Likewise, it can be assumed that there’ll be a new rear bumper, altered tail lamps and some other minute forgettable changes on the exterior.

Currently, Maruti sells the Ertiga with petrol, diesel and CNG engine options. Powering the petrol variant is a 1.4 liter K-series engine and the diesel variant draws power from the 1.3 liter MJD mill. Both use a 5 speed manual transmission. Sadly, propelling the face-lifted version won’t be fuel cell technology, and the MPV will soldier on with the aforementioned drive-trains. An AMT is expected to be clubbed to either of the engines.

No word yet on when the launch is, but is expected soon with an updated infotainment system inside.
