Talking about the car’s styling, the Verito Vibe has an exterior styling that might not appeal to all. This is courtesy unusually wide C pillars, which together with body panels from the sedan variant, make the car look like a hastily truncated version of the Verito sedan. The car does have a hint of Ford Focus near the C pillars but it is tough to guess if the car buying lot would appreciate the car’s overall design. Mahindra is using “Style that finishes first” tagline for the promotion of Verito Vibe.  The truncated boot has to be the most talked about part of the newly launched car. The new Mahindra Verito Vibe hatchback has a boot lid that opens in a very sedan fashion, i.e., it isn’t joined to the rear windscreen.

Speaking of the boot, the car has a boot space of 330 litres, which is pretty decent. However, the loading lip seems to be a tad high and it would be quite a task lifting up heavy luggage to load it into the car. Mahindra claims that the Verito Vibe is the most spacious car in its segment. Fleet operators, are you listening?

Interior panels remain largely the same as those of the Verito sedan.

The Verito Vibe will battle it out against the high selling Maruti Suzuki Swift and the Hyundai i20. Powering the Verito Vibe is the tried and tested 1.5 litre Renault K9K diesel engine that has a max power output of 65PS and peak torque of 160Nm. This is the same engine that powers many other cars in our market. The new Mahindra Verito Vibe hatchback, which comes to us only with a diesel engine, has an ARAI certified fuel economy figure of 20.8 kmpl.

Mahindra Verito Vibe has been launched in theee variants – D2 D4 and D6.

The top of the line D6 variant comes equipped with- aircon, cabin heater, front door map pockets, theatre dimming interior lights with courtesy delay, trunk room light, power steering, power windows, 2 DIN music system with CD/MP3/USB/Aux/FM support and a set of four speakers, rear defogger, front fog lamps, remote door locking, central locking, alloy wheels, body coloured door handles, ABS+EBD, driver’s side airbag, computerized driver information system and electrically adjustable ORVMs.
