Mahindra TUV300

The Mahindra TUV300 (codename U301) will be launching on September 10, 2015. To be based on an all-new platform, the sub-4 metre compact SUV from Mahindra will not replace the Bolero, but will be sold alongside.

Highlights include a tough, battle tank inspired design,  a new mHawk80 diesel engine, a seven seat layout with jumps seats in the third row and all-new interiors with added creature comforts. The “T” in the TUV300 (read double O) name represents “Tough” to highlight the “tough and stylish SUV design”.

The TUV300 has been mostly designed and developed by Mahindra’s inhouse design team and the R&D has been carried out at the Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai. The vehicle will be manufactured at Mahindra’s Chakan plant in Pune, Maharashtra.

On launch, the Mahidra TUV300 will compete against established players like the Ford EcoSport and the Renault Duster, but will be the only one with claimed room for seven occupants. Rest assured, Mahindra is also expected to price it aggressively. Click here to know more about the TUV300.
