Mahindra to launch a 125cc bike before the Mojo 300

Mahindra Pantero 110

The Mahindra Group has some serious plans for its two wheelers business. Mahindra Two Wheelers, which is among the newest manufacturers in Indian bike market, made news when it unveiled the concept version of its Mojo 300 performance bike.

While the Mojo hasn’t yet hit production, Mahindra Two Wheelers currently sell a 110cc bike and a set of automatic scooters whose origin can be traced to now defunct Kinetic group. Mahindra is also readying itself to launch another 110cc bike in a bid to grab a bigger chunk of sales from the ultra competitive commuter bike segment. The Centuro will be positioned above the Pantero 110cc motorcycle that we have tested on a couple of occasions.

In a surprising development, it has now emerged that the next new bike that will come from Mahindra won’t be the Mojo! Instead, the manufacturer would come up with a new 125cc motorcycle that will be launched before the Mojo.

Not much is known about the upcoming Mahindra 125cc bike but it is being said that the bike is in nascent stages of development and would come with specifications and features list that would be at par with that of the competition. The new bike would be launched before the festive season this year and would battle it out against the Bajaj Discover ST, Honda Shine, TVS Phoenix etc.
