The TUV300 has been a successful model for Mahindra ever since its launch. But now Mahindra seems to have run into a small problem with reports suggesting that the TUV300 is being recalled. The TUV300 AMT variant was recalled regarding an ECU update. The recall was issued after a few clients complained of transmission and engine issues that were affecting the overall drive of the vehicle.

One customer reportedly had to leave his TUV300 AMT with the company for approximately 15 days to rectify the issue. Some other problems encountered with the car were sudden drop in engine speed while up-shifting from 4th to 5th gear, a severe delay in the activation of the creep function which would take around 30 seconds to activate after braking, the engine occasionally revving to 4,000 rpm before shifting, slow gear changes and jerks during gearshifts.

The changes to the ECU software seemed to have fixed the problem and hence the vehicle is being recalled to update the software in every AMT variant of the Mahindra TUV300. An official statement by Mahindra on the same might come out soon.

The TUV300 is powered by a 1493 cc mHawk Diesel Engine that produces a peak power output of 84 hp at 3750 rpm and 230 Nm of peak torque at 1500-2250 rpm. This engine is mated to either a 5 speed manual transmission or a 5 speed auto gearbox. This compact SUV from Mahindra comes with a price tag of Rs. 7.10 lakhs (Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
