BharatBenz launches MD IN-POWER, New Generation of Modern Medium Duty Trucks

Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (DICV) launched its new generation of BharatBenz medium duty trucks to focus on customer requirements. Dubbed as the MD IN-POWER, the truck range features four new gen medium duty BharatBenz models – 914R, 1214R, 1214RE and the 1217C, each launched in a base and a premium variant. The new range will be commercially available at BharatBenz dealerships across India.

The MD IN-POWER range emphasises on Diamler’s R&D and innovation that boosts its hallmark value-for-money concept. The new range is claimed to be an industry-first in India’s MDT segment. Its Multi Drive Mode (MDM) allows drivers to optimize engine settings either for urban traffic or highway trucking with the push of a button. The new trucks in the range comes equipped with an enhanced focus on payload advantage, improved fuel efficiency, higher service intervals and enhanced feature-loaded driving comfort. The radial tyres claim to offer better traction, longer life and better returns. Along with these, new key features like improved low-end torque, longer service intervals, and contemporary styling provide a better package. The new BharatBenz range of MDTs is available in BS-III, BS-IV and Euro-V ready.

Backed by Daimler Financial Services, the BharatBenz Financial offers customers with benefit from the captive financier under the name of ‘BharatBenz Insurance. Being India’s first Branded Commercial Vehicle Insurance, the scheme offers cashless facility, including zero depreciation and a host of other value-adds. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Erich Nesselhauf, Managing Director & CEO, Daimler India Commercial Vehicles said that in only three years after having introduced the first BharatBenz product line of medium-duty trucks, the company is again raising standards in the segment with their new generation MD IN-POWER range. As demand for medium-duty trucks is expected to surge nationwide in India, the company is in excellent position to participate in the MDT segment’s growth with the MD IN-POWER truck range.
