Mahindra & Mahindra today announced the launch of the Xylo D2 MAXX with 9 seats option. This is the first time the Xylo, one of India’s most popular MPVs (multi-purpose vehicles) will be available with a 9 seats option. The addition of more seats makes the Xylo more lucrative for tour and travel operators. The new Xylo D2 Maxx has been priced at Rs. 7.12 lacs (BS3, ex-showroom Mumbai), this variant boasts side-facing rear seats.
The Xylo is equipped with 2.5 litre mDI CRDe engine delivering 95 PS with 220 Nm torque over a range of 1400 to 2600 rpm. The XYLO D2 MAXX offers a fuel efficiency figure of 14.95 kmpl as per ARAI test results. The 9 seat option ensures maximum seating space, in addition to best-in-class headroom and leg room.
Space has been one of the biggest virtues of the Xylo. This has been further enhanced with the new D2 Maxx variant. Further, the option of double capacity side-facing rear seats is a feature highly preferred by the commercial segment owners, since it gives them the flexibility of carrying additional passengers / luggage.
The new look front grille with Mahindra logo, new bumper with sporty air dams and wheel arches gives a distinct look to the Xylo D2 MAXX.
According to Vivek Nayer, Chief Marketing Officer, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. “The Xylo D2 MAXX with the mDI CRDe engine is a variant of the Xylo, which delivers great mileage, low maintenance and maximum space, making it a very popular choice with the tour and travel segment.
