We are reporting LIVE form Datsun Go India launch event and here we have all the details of the first vehicle from the resurrected car marque. The Datsun Go price in India has been pegged at INR 3,12,270 lakhs.

Nissan Datsun says that it has a different strategy for High Growth markets like that of India. While mature markets like that of US and UK require what the company calls ‘replacement models’, markets like that of India have ‘first time buyers’ and Datsun is aimed at that.

Some important points from the launch event-

Datsun Go has lowest periodic maintenace cost amongst key rivals
Warranty of two years/unlimited kms
Optional extended warranty for another two years, valid for unlimited kms

With this, Datsun becomes the first brand in its segment to offer unlimited mileage coverage under extended warranty.

The Go has gone on sale in three trim levels- D, A and T. The price of D and A variants is INR 3,46,842 lakhs and INR 3,69,999 lakhs respectively and the Go can be booked for an amount of INR 12000 only.

The new Datsun Go is powered by a three pot 1.2 litre petrol engine that bestows the car with decent power of 68 bhp. Mix into this equation some spacious interiors, a modern design, and the recently announced attractive price tag, and Datsun seems to have a winner in his hands!
