Launch of Tata Nano emax CNG to happen in October

We reported in detail when the upcoming Tata Nano emax CNG variant was unveiled at the launch of the car maker’s Horizonext 2013 initiative. As a major part of this programme, the company will launch a range of facelifts and new variants of its existing models.

It has now emerged that the launch of the highly awaited Tata Nano emax CNG variant, which is a part of the Horizonext, will happen in October.

On the outside, the Nano CNG will get ‘CNG’ sticker to announce its departure from the petrol variant.  On the inside, the car will get a revised instrument panel that will consist of a hint of green on the speedometer, highlighting the ‘green credentials’ of the Nano CNG. The interiors also get a button to switch between CNG and petrol modes.

The Nano emax CNG variant will boast of a 32-liter CNG tank and has an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 36km/kg. Tata claims that the car has a CO2 emission of just 75g/km, which makes the Nano CNG among the cleanest cars on Indian roads. The upcoming Tata Nano emax CNG will be sold with a 4-year/60,000km warranty.
