Announcing the introduction of the new Tata Movus, Mr. Ranjit Yadav – President, Passenger Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, “The all-new Movus is a great proposition for large families as it is spacious, easy to maintain, economical for both short and long distances, delivering great value without compromising on comfort. As an entry-level UV, the all-new Movus, a big and reliable vehicle comes at a price point which will provide our customers with best-in-class ride quality, making it a perfect partner for every journey. The vehicle is commercially available at dealerships located in metros and select cities.”
Powering the Movus is a 2.2L VARICOR engine that has a max power of 120 PS and peak torque of 250 Nm. The engine has a claimed fuel mileage of 15.16 kms/litre and the Movus comes with an engine warranty of 3-years or 150,000 kms. Suspension duties on the Movus are courtesy Independent Double Wishbone with coil springs in the front and Parabolic Leaf Spring-type suspension for the rear. The Movus has a fuel tank capacity of 65 litres.
The Movus is available with flexible seating options in the 7, 8 and 9 configuration. The Tata Movus price starts at INR 6.99 lacs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The vehicle is available in Porcelain White, Meteor Silver in its two variants – CX & LX.
