The new Skoda Superb launch is just around the corner, and days before the car’s official launch, Skoda has released two new teaser videos on its YouTube channel that reveal some more details about the India specific version of this upcoming premium sedan. Featuring the top of the line Laurin & Klement version of the limo in the videos, the Czech car maker has revealed quite a few details about the India bound version which were hitherto not known. Here’s all what we could decipher looking at the two videos.

We are sure you are wondering what is the Boss button. That switch would recline and move the front passenger seat. The India specific L&K variants seems to be loaded with a lot of features, though using piano black inlays instead of more expensive authentic wood seems like a cost cutting exercise to us.
As we reported earlier, the new Skoda Superb is based on Volkswagen Group’s MQB architecture, and measures 4861 mm in length, 1468 mm in height and 1864 mm in width. Compare that to its predecessor and the new Superb is 28 mm longer and 47 mm wider. The wheelbase has also been increased by 80 mm and the front overhang is 61 mm shorter than before.
Mechanically, the internationally spec Škoda Superb comes with direct-injection turbocharged engines which include five TSI petrol units and three TDI common-rail diesel units. India bound model is expect to get the 1.8-litre and / or 2.0-litre TSI petrol engines, along with the 2.0-litre TDI engine. Both engines are paired to a seven speed DSG double clutch transmissions.
