Lamborghini Huracan ‘Follow Me’ car at Bologna airport is downright crazy!

Italy is home to a number of renowned supercar manufacturers including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Pagani. Now taking any one car of the aforementioned brands on an empty stretch would what many of us dream about here. Well, someone in Bologna is actually getting paid to do just that.

Yep, it’s true. A Lamborghini Huracan is used as a ‘Follow Me’ vehicle at the Bologna Guglielmo Marconi International Airport. Customized by the Company’s in-house Centro Stile design facility, the model will be used at the airport till January 2017. A ‘Follow Me’ vehicle or ‘Welcome’ vehicle is used by aircraft marshals to guide the aircraft to and fro its parking bay.

Based on a yellow paintjob, the Huracan receives a chequered livery in a shade of black apart from a silhouette of the city’s skyline on both the doors. Don’t miss the mandatory light bar on the rooftop which completes the whole look of the ‘Welcome’ vehicle.

A quick glance at the tech specs, the Lamborghini Huracan is powered by a 5.2-litre V10 naturally aspirated engine that is capable of producing 610 PS at 6250 rpm while the peak torque of 560 Nm comes up at 6500 rpm. This motor sends power to all four wheels via seven speed dual clutch transmission. Speeds of 0-100 kmph can be achieved in 3.2 seconds while the top speed is electronically limited to 325 kmph.
