Lamborghini Huracan Avio launched in India at INR 3.71 crore; limited to just 250 units worldwide

Italian luxury automobile manufacturer, Automobili Lamborghini, launched the Huracan Avio special edition in India today with a price tag of INR 3.71 crore (Ex-Showroom, Delhi). The special edition of this baby bull, which was unveiled at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, will have a limited run of just 250 units worldwide. Bookings for the Huracan Avio in India will be open only for a five day period beginning today.

Inspired by the history of aeronautical engineering of the Italian Air Force, the Huracan Avio will be offered in 5 new shades – Grigio Falco, Blu Grifo, Grigio Nibbio, Grigio Vulcano and Verde Turbine. Customers wanting more options can get their Huracan Avio customised to their tastes through ‘Ad Personam’, the company’s personalization program.

For the exterior, the Huracan Avio features ‘L63’ decals on either side, situated below the ORVMs, where L stands for Lamborghini and 63 denotes the year (1963) in which the company was founded. On the inside, the model comes equipped with Black Alcantara leather with the “L63’ logo embroidered on the seats. Also seen in a personalized plaque which reveals the production count of the model.

Propelling the Huracan Avio special edition is the same 5.3-litre V10 petrol motor seen on the standard Huracan. This engine is capable of producing a power output of 610 PS at 6250 rpm while the peak torque of 560 Nm comes up at 6500 rpm. This drivetrain sends power to all four wheels via a seven speed dual clutch transmission. The aforementioned configuration helps the Huracan Avio attain a speed of naught to 100 kmph in a mere 3.2 seconds while the top speed is limited to 325 kmph.
