KTM Duke 200 missing from the Official Website, new product strategy or a technical glitch?

It appeared for a moment that the end of the Duke 200 in India is near as the motorcycle went missing from KTM’s official website. But is it really going out? While reports claim that the Duke 200 will be replaced by the quarter-litre variant that was unveiled in Tokyo, we had a chat with the company officials who say that this is just a technical glitch and the 200cc motorcycle is selling in good numbers and hence there are no plans to pull the plug on the product. The Duke 200 was the first motorcycle that reached the Indian shores and created a strong base for KTM in the subcontinent.

While the Duke 200 is missing from under the “Naked Bike” drop down on the official website, we can still see the motorcycle on the homepage. Here is the latest screenshot of KTM’s India website:

As we reported earlier, KTM unveiled the quarter-litre variants of its Duke and RC series of motorcycles, Duke 250 and RC250 in Tokyo. The KTM Duke 250 and the RC250 receive a 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine with Nikasil coated cylinder. The engine delivers 31 hp of power and 24 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
