Keanu Reeves, savior of the digital age, secret Samaritan, motorcycle fanatic, and all-round good guy is finally ready to commence a short production run of his Arch Motorcycle Company’s KRGT-1. As you’d expect, the boutique brand builds to order, and a $12,000 reservation deposit is necessary for those interested in getting their hands on one of these unique machines. The total, introductory-offer price tag is $78,000.
Each KRGT-1 is built to order and tailored to suit each individual owner, and all of the bikes are fitted with the monumental S&S Cycle T124 twin cam V-twin with a 124 cubic inch capacity (2,032cc) – built specifically for Arch Motorcycles.
Despite its relatively minimalist looks, the KRGT-1 is state-of-the-art. The wheels are BST ultralight carbon fibre, the suspension is Öhlins up front with an adjustable Race Tech mono shock at the rear. The transmission is an Arch Proprietary 6-Speed Baker with a custom compact high torque main-shaft, the 2 litre V-twin produces 121hp and 165 Nm of torque and information is relayed to the rider courtesy of a MotoGadget Motoscope Pro Digital computer.
The KR GT-1 Prototype is based on Keanu’s 2005 Harley-Davidson Dyna Wide Glide although it’s fairly clear that Gard Hollinger, the co-founder, has been hard at work creating an all new triple tree, fuel tank, rear cowling, seat, foot controls, frame and exhaust system. The frame is a fairly remarkable work of engineering, it’s a sport bike derived mono-shock with a floating swing arm coupled to a CNC milled aluminium subframe.
Orders are being taken now for the KRGT-1, each is produced by hand in the USA by the team at Arch Motorcycles. If you’d like to read more or enquire directly head over to their official website.
