The much talked about street focused Ducati SuperSport and SuperSport S have been unveiled at the ongoing INTERMOT 2016. At the Cologne motorcycle fair, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali took to the stage to present the SuperSport, the company’s latest sport road bike. You must have already read about the design in detail in one of our previous reports. We got the detailed look of the motorcycle through the official images which were leaked merely a day before of the unveil.
The new Ducati SuperSport is targeted to those who want a sport-inspired bike that provides comfort and easy handling on everyday roads. Apart from the new look, the motorcycle also comes equipped with Ducati Safety Pack (Bosch ABS + Ducati Traction Control) and is claimed to offer a superior price-quality ratio of the equipment and the long maintenance intervals.

Propelling the SuperSport is a twin-cylinder 937 cc Testastretta 11° engine which delivers 113 hp of power and 96Nm of torque, 80% of which is available at as low as 3,000 rpm. The motorcycle gets three Riding Modes (Sport, Touring and Urban). Other features include relaxed rider and passenger positions, good airflow deflection from the height-adjustable screen and the mileage provided by the 16-litre fuel tank.
The standard model gets fully adjustable 41 mm Marzocchi fork upfront and Sachs shock that’s adjustable for spring pre-load and rebound damping at the rear. The SuperSport S version which features fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, the Ducati Quick Shift up/down system and a rear seat cover: the latter are also available as accessories for the SuperSport.
