We’ve been informed that India’s First Indian Motorcycles Dealership will open in Gurgaon on May 7, 2014! With the launch of the first every Indian Motorcycles dealership in India, the legendary bikes will officially enter the ever expanding Indian market.

The bike maker plans to launch a total of three dealerships in this financial year. The soon to be launched Gurgaon dealership will be responsible for all the sales coming from the NCR. The two other upcoming dealerships will be launched in Bangalore (in third quarter) and in Mumbai (in last quarter).
All the three Indian Motorcycles that are on sale in India are powered by a Thunderstroke 1811cc 49 degree V-Twin engine that has a peak torque of 139Nm. The engine comes mated to a six speed transmission. Indian Chief prices in India will start at INR 26.5 Lakhs, with the top end variant have a price tag of INR 33 Lakhs!! *all prices are ex-showroom in Delhi.
Pankaj Dubey, managing director of Polaris and Indian Motorcycles has said that the company plans to sell as many as 20 to 30 units of these highly celebrated motorcycles in India within this year. With a price tag like that, its surely not going to be too easy a task, but then, helping these bikes should be their famed lineage. What say?
