Tata Safari Storme Launched @ INR 9.95 Lakhs

There is not much of a denying to the fact that the Tata Safari has been responsible for the development of SUV culture in Indian market. The vehicle has been thru several upgrades and has had a successful career. However, back in the first half of last decade, in came the Mahindra Scorpio and sales of the Tata Safari took a hit.

The condition got even worse in recent times and Tata decided to develop a thoroughly upgraded version of the Safari.

The Tata Safari Storme, the latest edition of Tata Safari, has to be the biggest update to have ever happened to the SUV. While the new styling may not be to everyone’s liking, Indian SUV enthusiasts will appreciate the fact that Tata decided to employ its all new X2 vehicle platform for the Storme.

Such is the fan following for the Safari that Tata dealerships have received a huge number of bookings for the Tata Safari Storme, even before the pricing was announced.

On the styling front, the new Tata Safari Storne features a new front grill, new projector headlamps and a ‘power bulge’ on the bonnet. New chrome-tipped twin exhausts, the tailgate in an all-new guise and aerodynamic spoilers distinguish the rear, with the spare tyre placed under the vehicle. Freshly designed roof-rails, ergonomical side footsteps and cladding mark the side view, thereby completing a new look.

Upmarket beige seats matched with a leather-wrapped steering wheel, chrome highlighted gear knob, wood-accented dashboard and door trims, a new instrument cluster, chrome-lined speaker grills and inside door handles endow the interiors. The front seats with fore and aft adjustment and lumbar support make long drives a comfier, while the dual AC with separate integrated roof-mounted blower keeps the entire cabin ambient.
