Hyundai Motor India Rolls Out 5 Millionth Car

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the country’s largest exporter and the second-largest car manufacturer today marked the production of the 5 Millionth car at its manufacturing unit in Irrungattukottai, near Chennai since it started production in the India in 1998.

With a GDP contribution of 4% to Tamil Nadu State government, HMIL has significantly contributed to the Indian economy since 1996. Leading with 46% export market share and 20.3% in the passenger car segment, Hyundai has become one of the most loved and trusted car manufacturer in India.

On this occasion, HMIL’s CSR arm, Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), has announced a programme to plant 1 million trees as part of ‘Go Green’ Initiative. HMIF has planted 2 lakh trees till date under this novel initiative.
