Hyundai launches Verna Transform in India

The country’s second largest car maker Hyundai Motor India today launched a new sedan christened as the ‘Verna Transform.’ The new Verna Transform is an advanced version of the mid sized sedan, Verna and will be available with an option of 1.6 petrol and a 1.5 Crdi unit same as the older Verna. The 5 speed manual does the duty but you get an option of a 4 speed auto ‘box too. The auto-box is available with the diesel variant only. Power figures remain the same, 103 PS@ 5500 rpm for the 1.6 petrol while 110 PS @ 4000 rpm for the 1.5 diesel. Verna has been frugal and the Transform also proves that, with ARAI certified 21.92 kmpl for the BSIII Crdi engine, the max this car achieves. With petrol it manages to give a mileage of 16.18 kmpl. There is an option of getting the ABS+EBD for the car too.

The improved version features a host of feature enhancements and significant improvements on the exterior of the car. The interior of the transformer also has some improvements over the earlier model. The transformer is also expected to feature new radiator grill, bumper, Quadra-exhaust and headlamp. The rear looks a little bland when compared to the completely redesigned front. The car retains its high waistline, gets a pair of ORVMs with built in indicators and new alloys too.

The company will also offer the new eco lamp guiding drivers to drive in the most economical way possible. A green light glows when the driver is driving the vehicle efficiently and a led light glows when the car is being driven with high fuel consumption.

The petrol variant is priced between Rs. 6.56 lakh and Rs. 9.22 lakh while the diesel variant is said to come along with a price tag of Rs. 7.87 lakh (ex- showroom Delhi.) The car is available in six colours namely Stone Black, Sleek Silver, Deep Ocean Blue, Champagne Gold, Crystal White and Blushing Red.
