TVS stops all its electric vehicles

After an unsuccessful stint in the market, the TVS Scooty Teenz electric scooter has finally been taken off the market by it’s parent. Furthermore, it’s not just the Scooty Teenz that has been axed, but even the upcoming electric vehicles from TVS, like the electric three wheeler that we saw at the 2010 Auto Expo, have been put on hold. “We have an electric three-wheeler, which we had planned to introduce but there is no market for such products. So we don’t have any plans to launch it now,” TVS Motor Co Marketing President H S Goindi told PTI. He further added, “The market is not good for electric two-wheelers. So we are concentrating on our regular scooters and motorcycles.” He, however, said some dealers could still be selling company’s electric scooterette from their old stocks – which means that the company will continue providing support for it’s defunct vehicles in the times to come.
