Honda Navi bookings cross 1000; dispatches commence

Honda Navi (3)

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd (HMSI) have commenced the dispatches for its NAVI from their Tapukara (Rajasthan) factory. The NAVI moto-scooter (if we’re allowed to called that) tries to draw the line line between a motorcycle and a scooter, something that blends the form of the former with the practicality of the latter. In case you haven’t figured out already, the NAVI is primarily targeted at the youth, and it seems they’ve responded positively, as bookings for the moto-scooter have crossed the 1000 mark in just over a month’s time.

The exclusive android mobile booking application for NAVI was also launched at the Auto Expo 2016, along with the moto-scooter itself. The application has registered more than 20,000 downloads. The Honda NAVI’s availability will start in a phased manner beginning from Mumbai, where it will be available from March’16 itself. The Honda dealerships will provide a new environment  for the NAVI, with a range of customisation parts inside the showroom.

The Navi, 100% developed by Honda R&D India from concept development to commercial production, is powered by a 110 cc single-cylinder engine with HET (Honda Eco Technology) that makes 7.83 hp at 7,000 rpm and 8.96 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is mated to the V-matic transmission. The Honda NAVI has a top speed of 81 km/h. The standard NAVI, tarting at Rs. 39,500 (Ex-showroom price, Delhi), will come in 5 colour options – Patriot Red, Hopper Green, Shasta White, Sparky Orange and Black.
