Hero MotoCorp will be extending its product portfolio on September 29 as the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer has invited the media for a launch event called “Unveiling the New Heroes”. While the two-wheeler maker has remained tight lipped about the products that would be unveiled at the event, earlier reports indicate that it is the new Hero Duet and Hero Maestro Edge that may be launched for the Indian market. Both the scooters – the Duet and the Maestro Edge – were spotted at a dealership in August this year by one of our followers.
The new Hero Duet will feature an all metal body and will share most of the hardware and underpinnings with the new Hero Maestro Edge 110cc. Expect the new Hero Duet to be powered by the new 110cc air cooled engine, also found on the new Maestro Edge 110, with rated power and torque figures of 8 bhp and 8.5 nm respectively.
The Hero Maestro Edge 110cc, contrary to earlier rumors, will be be powered by a new air cooled 110cc engine capable of producing about 8 bhp of power and 8.5 nm of torque. The combined braking system has also been retained from the standard Maestro.
