German car maker, Audi, has introduced the new 296 bhp Audi S3 Cabriolet at the ongoing Geneva Motor Show 2014.
The new Audi S3 cabriolet is powered by the same turbocharged 2.0-liter four pot petrol motor, which also powers the recent Audi S3 sedans sold internationally. This turbocharged 2.0-liter TFSI motor churns out 296 bhp of max power, which is an increase of 119 bhp over the most powerful front-wheel-drive A3 cabriolet. This engine is mated to a six-speed S tronic transmission and a quattro all-wheel drive system, which enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 kmph ina scant 5.4 seconds before hitting a electronically limited top whack of 250 kmph.
Scheduled to make its entry into the German dealerships this summer, the range-topping model boasts of a revised grille, aluminum mirror caps and honeycomb mesh grille inserts. The cabriolet also features a trunk-mounted spoiler, a platinum-gray rear diffuser, a quad exhaust system and 18-inch aluminum wheels. Standard fit 18-inch wheels are shod with 225/40 profile tyres, with 19-inch rims available as an option. The brakes also are upgraded to match the performance, with the front discs now measuring 340mm in diameter.
Speaking about the efficiency, owners of this S3 cabrio can expect an average fuel efficiency of 7.1 L/100km (33.13 mpg US / 39.7 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 165 g/km.
