Alongside the Abarth Punto, FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) India also launched the all new Avventura powered by Abarth at INR 9.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which has a 1.4 litre four-cylinder T-Jet engine, generating 140 BHP of power, sprinting to 100kmph in 9.9sec, making it the fastest cross in the country.

Speaking on the launch, Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. said : “We are also widening and strengthening our product portfolio by introducing another performance oriented vehicle from FCA’s stable. Avventura powered by Abarth will be the fastest crossover in the country. India is a strategic market for us and delivering world class products and services to our valued customers is an integral part of our commitment to the Indian market. We are confident that these two new category defining models from Fiat stable would catch the fancy of the car enthusiasts and perk up sales during the festive season.”

The Avventura powered by Abarth will also sport the same 1.4L T-Jet engine from the Abarth Punto, but it’ll make 5 BHP less than the hatchback, which equates to 140 BHP @ 5500 RPM. The highest torque generated is 210 Nm@2000 – 4000 RPM. Equipped with a 5 speed manual transmission, this will be the fastest and the most powerful crossover in the country. The Avventura powered by Abarth also offers four wheel disc brakes, ABS and EBD.

Unlike the Abarth Punto, external embellishments on the Avventura powered by Abarth are limited to 16” alloy wheels which have scorpion inspired spokes. The Avventura powered by Abarth will be available in one variant across the country through a wide network of 100+ outlets. The brand Abarth was introduced in India earlier this year by launching the Abarth 595 Competizione which made its way to the Indian shores through the CBU route.
