It was just yesterday that we had posted about the facelifted Toyota Innova spy-snapped by Indonesian Magazine AutoNetMagz.com revealing all the exterior enhancements. Though appearing similar in size and proportions, the 2013 facelifted Toyota Innova gets an updated front and rear fascia, a big and generously chromed front grille, a new front bumper, a bigger rear number plate housing a pair of reflectors positioned on the fifth door and a revised rear bumper.
Another Indonesian Web Magazine Otosia.com has published that the facelifted Toyota Innova would be launched on August 19, 2013 in Jakarta- courtesy an official press invitation for the launch event.
Apart from the visual changes, Otosia has stated that the facelifted Innova would now come with better safety features such as dual airbags and ABS which would be standard across all variants, which earlier were limited to the top end V-type only. The new facelifted Toyota Innova would continue be powered by the same (we call indestructible) 2 litre 4 cylinder petrol engine, though nothing has been said about the diesel variant.
Indonesia is the world’s biggest MPV market where the Innova is sold as the Toyota Kijang Innova manufactured by Toyota’s Indonesian arm “Toyota Astra Motor”. We are expecting that the 2013 facelifted Toyota Innova would be showcased at the Indonesia International Motorshow to be held between 19th to 29th September 2013, and in all probability should be making its presence felt at the Indian Auto Expo in February next year and an official Indian launch thereafter.
