EICMA 2016: [VIDEO] Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer makes its debut

Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati has unveiled the Scrambler Café Racer at the ongoing 2016 EICMA show in Milan. Based on the Scrambler that made its debut last year, the model will be priced at USD 11,395 (approximately INR 7.57 lakh).

The Scrambler Café Racer receives a steel tank with interchangeable side panels, LED light guides, LED tail lamps, LCD instrument cluster with interchangeable aluminium cover, clip-on handle bar, bar-end mirrors, side number plate, Termignoni exhaust and an under-seat storage compartment with a USB socket.

Power is drawn from the 803cc Desmodromic L-Twin engine that is capable of producing a power output of 75 hp at 8250 rpm while the peak torque of 68 Nm comes up at 5750 rpm. This motor sends power to the rear wheel via six speed transmission.

Based on a tubular steel Trellis frame, the Scrambler Café Racer rides on 17 inch 10 spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso II rubber. Upfront, the model receives a 330 mm semi-floating disc brake with four pistons and a radially mounted with a Brembo Monobloc caliper while the posterior receives a 245 mm disc brake with a single piston floating caliper. Both sides come equipped with Bosch ABS as standard. Suspension duties are taken care of by 41 mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock with an adjustable pre-load at the rear.
