Drive – An Upcoming Bollywood Car Flick Promising High-Octane Car Chases And Stunts

Drive is an upcoming Indian action-thriller film, which is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The movie features Sushant Singh Rajput, Jacqueline Fernandez, Boman Irani and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles. The film was scheduled to release on the 7th of September last year, but the release has been delayed due to some reasons. The movie is expected to finish shooting in the next few weeks, while Dharma Production has already released a 23-second teaser-trailer on the 3rd of January 2019, announcing the advanced date of release as 28th June, 2019.

According to IMDB, the movie is based on James Sallis’ novel and is an adaptation of the Hollywood movie released in 2011, which is also named Drive. The English version of the movie features Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan in the lead roles. The Hollywood movie, Drive gets an IMDB rating of 7.8 out of 10, and 92% Rotten Tomatoes, while the Bollywood adaptation is yet to be rated. Ryan Gosling’s Drive featured a lot of top-end cars which were heavily modified and tuned for the exciting action sequences and car chases in the movie. Some of the cars in this Hollywood film were old classics, such as a 1967 Pontiac GTO, 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner, 1973 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu, 1995 Chevrolet Impala SS, 1998 Dodge Ram and many more. However, the Bollywood version of the movie, Drive will have a slightly different story than the original Hollywood flick. Drive (2019) will bring Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez together as Samar and Tara for the first time. This new film has a different storyline from the original adaptation, but the theme will remain the same. This Bollywood film’s story is based on how a group of people come together to pull off the heist of the century at India’s most secure location – The Rashtrapati Bhavan. To help them ace this unthinkable task, they will be joined by two highly skilled street racers, Bikki, an artist who paints cars and Naina, the master criminal. The film is expected to have high octane races, car chases and a power-packed climax.
