We reported in detail when popular German premium car maker Mercedes unveiled the new 2014 Mercedes S Class in Hamburg, Germany.
DHL, the leading global logistics provider, shipped the latest generation of the Mercedes S-Class to Airbus dock, the launch venue, in Hamburg. Transported straight from the Mercedes-Benz plant in Stuttgart to the suburb of Finkenwerder in Hamburg, the cloaked luxury sedan was flown in an A300-600 DHL freight aircraft.
“This eagerly awaited presentation is a milestone of particular importance for Mercedes, so we have the very highest of expectations with regard to the car’s safe transportation and the confidential handling of information. We are delighted that we have, for many years, had DHL as a partner which meets the same rigorous quality standards we set ourselves and in which we can have the utmost confidence,” said Jörg Howe, Head of Communications Daimler AG.
