Cosmetically upgraded Maruti Suzuki Ritz Elate limited edition introduced in India

Indian car major Maruti Suzuki is trying to boost the sales of its hatchback, the Ritz. In one such strategy, the carmaker has introduced a limited edition of the Ritz named the Ritz Elate. Customers can also save upto Rs 65,000 by buying the new limited edition Ritz Elate. What to expect on this limited edition model? Well, it will only be cosmetic upgrade while mechanically the car will remain the same.

So the Ritz Elate will be powered by either a 1.2 litre four-cylinder K-Series petrol or 1.3 litre four-cylinder Multijet turbo diesel, Fiat sourced engine. The petrol unit can produce 85 bhp of power and 113 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4 speed automatic. The diesel powered Ritz on the other hand puts out 75 bhp of power and 190 Nm of peak torque. The diesel model is only offered with 5-speed manual transmission.

On the outside, the limited edition Ritz Elate will get stylish body graphics, door visors, reverse parking sensors and mud flaps. Upgrades on the inside would include 2-DIN music system with speakers and bluetooth connectivity, new floor mats, ambient lighting, neck cushions and steering wheel covers.

Fuel efficiency figures would remain at 23.2kmpl for diesel and. The petrol model with manual transmission will deliver fuel efficiency of 18.5kmpl and the automatic variant would give 17.16kmpl.
