In an interview with Financial Express, Rakesh Srivastava, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Hyundai Motor India Limited has confirmed the Korean car maker will be launching their compact SUV in India.
The Indian compact SUV segment is currently dominated by the Renault Duster and the Ford Ecosport. Maruti Suzuki will also be launching the S-Cross soon. Hyundai India has a single SUV in its line up in the form of Santa Fe. The Hyundai ix25 could be the compact SUV the Hyundai boss has spoken about. Hyundai had introduced the ix25 at the Beijing Auto Show in April this year.

The Hyundai ix25 is a vehicle measuring 4.27 metres in length, which implies it won’t qualify for the excise duty benefits which the Ford Ecosport enjoys. The car is likely to be powered by the same engines which power the Verna sedan in India.
The exterior design of the new Hyundai ix25 features the new Hyundai Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language, which can be seen on the Hyundai Genesis. The Hyundai ix25 compact SUV has been “strategically developed for China” and measures 4,270 millimeters in length, 1,780 mm in width and 1,630 mm in height. The front of the SUV features a hexagonal grille, LED-lined headlamps, large fog light enclosures and a silver faux skid plate. The ix25 showcased at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show also sported blackened out A and B pillars.

Very very good looking SUV. Just developed love for this one. How much this is going cost me??? Around 13-14 lakhs on road, with all features would be a good price….and i am sure of buying. Hyundai does not have vehicles of all verities….Like Innova, budget SUV. please bring this SUV.
