Citroen is close to unveiling a new DS 5LS luxury sedan for China and while the car is still few hours away from being official released, a handful of pics of the upcoming car have already leaked on the web world.
The LS in the upcoming car’s name stands for Luxury Sedan and the “5” comes from the five themes of the car- “inspiration, dynamism, quality, vanguardism and healthy life”.
The new DS 5LS shares its platform with the DS4/DS5 and the C4. The new Citroen DS LS5 measures 4,720mm (186in) in length, 1,840mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2,720mm (same as that of the C4).
While the exterior of the new DS 5LS features plenty of design cues taken from the DS Wild Rubis crossover concept. the interiors carry a lot of inspiration taken from the insides of the DS4. The car will be sold with just one engine option- a 1.6-liter turbocharged petrol unit with max power of 00 hp. The car is supposed to enter Chinese car market around March 2014 and will be built in Shenzhen.
Citroen will unveil the car at the Musee du Louvre in Paris later today.
