Thanks to China’s love for Long Wheel-Base (LWB) Versions of German sedans, Mercedes Benz will be soon seen launching the E Class Facelift LWB in Chinese market. The E Class facelift might be launched at the Shanghai Auto Show on 20th next month and what we have here are images of the China-spec E Class long wheelbase model.

Similar to the scenario that we have in India, Mercedes Benz is being outsold by other German luxury carmakers in China. Mercedes is now betting big on the E Class facelift to revive its sales performance in Chinese car market. Other than having more rear leg room, and longer rear doors, the E Class facelift LWB, in all probability, would be bog similar to the SWB model. The E Class facelift LWB can be differentiated from the outgoing model by its single unit headlamps, no pontoon styled rear fenders and other minor changes to the fascia.

The flagship variant in the E Class facelift LWB line up will be the performance oriented E63 AMG. The E Class facelift gets a longer equipment list which includes night vision assistance systems, DISTRONIC PLUS radar-based braking assistance program, BAS PLUS emergency brake assist, Active Blind Spot Assist system, Attention Assist system and lane departure warning system.

  1. “What similarity is there between China and India?”

There are many. However, the words that you have quoted are in relation with the fact that Audi and BMW sell more in both China and India. I think it would be good if you eat your own words and get a grip on reality!!

    Peace

  2. “Similar to India” LOL
