TVC: Chevrolet wants you to ‘Turn On the Beat Life’

Regulars here would remember that we reported in detail when a Chevrolet Beat facelift test mule was spotted testing on the Baroda-Ahmedabad expressway recently. While this sighting ensures that the Beat facelift isn’t too far from making it to Indian car market, it seems like Chevrolet India hasn’t given up on the current model and has come up with a new TVC to promote the very tasty looking hatchback in our car market. This video shows young corporates, the Beat’s target audience, breaking away from their mundane office work and taking their Beat out for a spin. Among many things, the new TVC highlights the boot space and the snazzy bike-inspired instrument console of the very tasty looking B segment hatchback.

As we said above, the Beat is on its way to get a mild cosmetic makeover and we believe that the updated Beat would be unveiled at the 2014 New Delhi Auto Expo in February next year.

The Beat was launched in India way back in January 2010 and hence, it is only logical for the car maker to plan to launch a refreshed version of its hatchback.

The Beat facelift was first launched in Europe last year and the car sports a new front bumper, a new front grille and new foglamps. The car could also get a new set of alloy wheels, an upholstery change, a revised centre console and some added features.

Mechanically, the India spec Beat is very likely to remain unchanged. This means that the car will continue to come with a 1.2 litre petrol engine and a 0.9 litre diesel engine option
