Here’ some news for all us animated movie loving car freaks – the next instalment in the Cars series, Cars 2 is releasing June 24.
Seems like Mater, the rickety tow truck has become more than just a supporting character in the movie. Mater accompanies Lightening McQueen to compete in the first-ever World Grand Prix to determine the world’s fastest car. However, on the way to the championship the duo meets with some hilarious as well as deadly surprises. Mater in the meantime gets caught in something that you could least associate the character with: international espionage. There is a Bond car in the story as well to add the required zing to the espionage twist. Streets of Japan and Europe have been elaborately brought to life in the animated form by the talented graphic wizards at Pixar. To add to all of it, Cars2 has interesting new characters spread across the story.
