Its been rather late, but the much awaited White-Blue colour combo of the 2009 Hayabusa GSX-1300R is finally on sale in the country. This colour option will be available across all the Suzuki dealerships that were chosen to market and sell the two imports – the ‘busa and the Intruder. The new colour combo is codenamed ‘FGF’ which, in Suzuki -speak translates to ‘Glass Splash White / Metallic Mystic Silver’. The price for this new colour remains unchanged. Since markets like ours do not contribute to large sales figures of these bikes (yet!) as compared to the rest of the world, we are often the last priority for bike makers when it comes to introducing the new colours/models to India (Precisely the reason why even the 09 R1 still isn’t here in spite of the ‘YZF-R1’ being an official import of Yamaha India). Hence do not expect this colour to be a stop gap arrangement. Though Suzuki will exhibit the new 2010 colours at the Auto Expo in Jan, we are damn sure that it be at least August ’10 before we see them in the Indian showrooms.
