Honda’s newest kid on the block – the 2015 Jazz hatchback, will be launched in India on July 8. The bookings for the new Honda Jazz were to tentatively begin from June 20. According to a new report by ACI, and opposed to earlier ones, the booking process for the car has already commenced.
Select Honda dealerships are now taking booking orders from customers. The booking amount ranges between INR 30,000 to 50,000 as of now. Although Honda is still to confirm the official prices of the new Jazz, dealers claim it to fall in the bracket of between INR 5.5 to 8.5 lakh. The 2015 Honda Jazz marks the arrival of the model after a long sabbatical. Pricing has always been crucial for any car sold on India soil and that’s where the Japanese carmaker fell short. If the dealers are to be believed, looks like Honda may get their cards right this time.
The new Honda Jazz will come with petrol and diesel engines, the former will come mated to a 5-speed manual or a CVT with paddle shifters. The diesel mill on the other hand will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox only. The oil burner will be a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder i-DTEC engine that’s also found in the Amaze and City. The petrol Jazz will get a 1.2-litre 4-cylinder i-VTEC unit. We will update you with more information, pictures and more in the times to come.
