The 2015 Honda Jazz is on its way and there’s more. According to reports, bookings for this highly anticipated hatchback are to commence from 20 June 2015. This will be followed by a nation-wide launch on July 8. The last time Honda showed us the Jazz, it was on the pricey side. With the carmaker ramping up localisation to 90%, the 2015 version of the hatchback likely won’t repeat that.

The new Honda Jazz will be powered by petrol and diesel engines. In fact, this will be the first ever Honda hatch to get an oil burner under the bonnet. In a country that loves its diesel cars, the i-DTEC powered Jazz should make a case for itself. The unit here will be the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder i-DTEC mill that’s also found in other Honda cars in the country. In the 2015 Honda Jazz, it is likely to dish out 100 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. Power will sent to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol Jazz will get the 1.2-litre 4-cylinder i-VTEC engine that should put out 90 PS of power and 109 Nm of twist at the front wheels. Power will be sent via a CVT or manual gearbox, the former getting steering-mounted paddle shifters.

By the looks of it, the new Jazz’s interiors look strikingly similar to that of the Honda City. Of course, that isn’t by any means a bad thing for this hatchback. Top-end variants will get touch-enabled automatic climate control, Audio-Video-Navigation (AVN) touchscreen (likely) infotainment system, Bluetooth and AUX-in/USB connectivity, 16-inch alloy wheels, foglights, electrically operated ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, rear wiper and roof-mounted spoiler etc.
