BMW X3 Facelift Launched At ₹59 Lakh

The BMW X-Series is one of the most famous luxury SUVs in the Indian market. They stand with a bold and aggressive design. Today, this series gets another addition; the new BMW X3. The car packs more than just a facelift as it is sportier, and more modern thanks to the refreshed looks, premium interiors with new equipment, features, and updated infotainment. The new BMW X3 is available in two petrol variants; the SportX Plus and the M Sport. While the M Sport badge instills a sense of confidence in terms of the performance of the car, the SportX Plus also packs a few tricks up its sleeve.

Design

The X3 now gets a more modern appearance which makes it a sportier look. The car looks refreshed and robust thanks to the redesigned and larger BMW kidney grille, flatter headlights, and the new front apron. The LED headlights are now adaptive. Moving to the back, the car gets full LED taillights with a black border to give them a more precise appearance.

It also gets large flush-fitting free-form tailpipes which give it a macho look and a more powerful presence. Coming to the M Sport package, the front apron gets larger air inlets finished in high-gloss black and air curtains. The rear gets a sportier bumper which includes a diffuser finished in Dark Shadow. The M Sport trim includes the new 19-inch Y-Spoke 887M alloy wheels. However, 20-inch M alloy wheels are also available as an early bird offer.

Interior

The interiors boast a higher degree of change than the exteriors. Buyers will enjoy features like Multi-function Sport Steering Wheel, electrical seat adjustment with memory function, a panoramic glass roof, welcome light carpet, ambient lighting with six dimmable designs, 3-zone climate control, and an analog instrument cluster with a 5.7-inch display. The M Sport, on the other hand, has some exclusive features like Sports seats, Sensatec perforated upholstery, M leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons, and a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument cluster.

Performance

Both variants are powered by the same 2.0L inline 4/4 Twin Turbocharged petrol engine which puts out 252HP of power and 350Nm of torque. Both cars also get the same 8-Speed Automatic Steptronic Sport Transmission. The cars go from not to 100Kmph in just 6.6 seconds. The cars also get different selectable driving modes; Comfort, Eco Pro, Sport, and Sport+. But the M Sport variant leaps ahead with its Dynamic Damper Control and Performance Control. The car gets individual electronically controlled dampers that adapt to both road conditions and driving style to improve drivability and handling dynamics. Whereas the BMW Performance Control system increased the stability of the car by targeted braking of the wheels.

Safety

BMW Safety technologies include six airbags, Attentiveness Assistance, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor, ISOFIX child seat mounting.
